Lyric and visual - Goodwin suggest that lyrics will make constant references to visuals on screen, we have used this by using the lyrics as our script and acting out the story bit by bit. A example of this would be when one of us says "It's gonna be me" there is a close up on our face.

Genre characteristics - These are certain traits that are often associated with the genre. In our video we will be having a lot of dancing, which is usually associated with the pop genre.

Notions of looking - This is where women or men are seen as objects. In our video we do not use this as it is not what are video is about, our video is about 4 guys trying to win one girls heart.

Demands of the record label - Our record label would want us to come off as dreamy or sexy to our target audience, so people interested in pop music will watch us or so we can draw in people to our music.

Narrative based - This is like lyrics and visual where the music comes to life like a story, this is exactly what we are doing in our video we are telling a story of four guys trying to win a girls heart by showing her that they are best for her. They will be showing her by the use of their elements Air, Water, Fire, Earth. They will be using them to make her life better when she needs it.

By using Goodwins theory our group can understand better how to structure and shoot our music video. It has also given us a better knowledge of what a music video should have.
